Caspian Tigers

Last week my team and I went to Turkey to see if we could find some rests of the extinted animal, the caspian tiger. We chose Turkey because the Caspian Tigers lived there, so we decided to go and look what we can find out. In my reaserch I found that this animals were extinted because They were hunted for their furs and to protect the cattle. The time where most of them extinct where in the 1930’s, but the last Caspian Tiger was shot in 1957.
So we made our journey to the highest mountain in all Turkey. When we reach there we started looking if we could find something. But the first day we didn’t found anything.
The next day we climbed a little more to see if there would be more probabilities to find some rests of the animal or maybe some signal. But it did not function either.
So, the third day we climbed almost at the top of the mountain and began searching for something…When finally I saw some fur on the ground and i was hoping it would be something related to the Caspian Tiger. So I started digging and digging until I could see completely the fur. I took it out and started analyzing it. IT WAS CASPIAN TIGER’S FUR! And below the hair were some bones that seemed to be part of his legs. So i took that too and put it into a bag, and walked back to where my team was.
I told them what i have just found and they where really impressed. We have already found what we were looking for, so we walked down the mountain and everyone in Turkey was asking what were ew going to do whith the Caspain’s rest, and we said that we really didn’t know. So they asked us if we could leave in Turkey the rests and we happily agreed.
And now, our discover is in a Turkey museum.

Menstrual Cycle

what i know about menstruation is that is a change in girls body in puberty. it is a cycle in which you bleed every month and you have a lot of cramps. it also lasts about 5-7 days. another thing that i know is that when you are pregnant the menstruation cycle dosent comes. I think that the cycle is very interesting because it has a lot of things that we would never imagine. Also all of the parts are connected to all the parts so if one thing dosent work you could get sick. we should be careful and have a lot of patience about this cycle. something that i would like to know about it is why does it have to be with blood, why cant it be when you urine.

i learned that before menstruation comes you notice strong changes of emotions, hormones. our body changes too. because menstruation is the sign that we are becoming a woman. also is the time when a girl matures. Mensurarion happens when ovulation that is when an egg leaves the ovary. not all the girls menstruate at the same time. one can menstruate when she is 10 and mabe other girl can menstruate when she is 15. if you have irregular period after a year or two your period can become regular. also there are a lot of mixed emotions. you may feel angry or sad and get a lot of cramps.

Importance of Proteins

The proteins are very important in our body. they help us grow, make our skin pretty and help us to make strong our bones. Proteins can also work as energy if you do not eat carbohydrates. The proteins also are one of the most important nutrient in your body. Proteins are also in every single cell of your body and help us to fight against infections. It is important to eat meat, fish, eggs, etc… to gain the amount of proteins that you should have in your body, because if you lose some amount of proteins it could affect your body severe. Not everyone needs the same amount of proteins, like for example the people that are in stress need more proteins because they consume too much in stress so they need more than someone that doesen’t have stress. It is important to consume the right amount of proteins because everyday we lose proteins so we need to gaun more. proteins are very important in our body and we could not live without them.So it is important to eat proteins so we could have a healthy health.

interesting fact

The blue whale can produce sounds up to 188 decibels. This is the loudest sound produced by a living animal and has been detected as far away as 530 miles.

this interesting fact is about that the whales have the record of the loudest sound that has ever exist. this is very impressive because it is so amazing that a living thing can produce that kind of sound. i would like to hear that sound just to see how loud it is. the distance also impress me because no matter if the whale is 530 miles away from you you could hear the sound. i would love to be a whale to hear that sound.

The Heart

Today i learned that the human heart is a muscle that pump blood all around the body. And that the size of the heart varies, it depends how big you are. But in average is 14 centimeters long. I also learned that the blood has to go through a long process to go all over the body. First, it enters to the superior vena cava and inferior vena cava, then it enters to the atrium and it finally returns to the heart. But then, it moves to tricuspid valve, and the lave protects the blood. Then it goes to the right ventricle and that’s where the heart pumps it in distance to the lungs. Then the blood goes to the lungs and after that, it returns to the heart, but it returns by the pulmonary veins. Then, the blood is pushed into biscupid valve to the left. When the blood is on the left side, it goes through the aorta to spread all over the body. In this blog i learned all the process that the blood has to pass just to get blood to all parts of your body. It is impressive how fast this process works every second  .

Now i have friends that the last year i didnt even talk to them once. i really think this was the best class in my life. because it was a very happy class and my classmates were like happy and energetic and i am like that. i wish i could stay with this section all highschool! I love too that the clases were a lot different from last year. like the teachers were more comfortable with us than the las year, so i think that help a lot. i really love this year. Maybe i didnt d very well in some classes but it was fun! I think this year happened so fast! I would like you to teach us again the next year! Maybe to do the class better we could dp like more presentations or different projects. Thank you for everything Miss. Pau i will miss you a lot! Hope you give us in 9th 🙂 🙂

respiratory system

well, what i know about the respiratory system is that the lungs are the main organs. the job of your respiratory system is to bring oxygen to your body. also i know that the heart pumps blood for all your body, and in only one day you produce about 7000 gallons of blood.

3 facts:

1. your respiratory system also remove the carbon dioxide from your body.

2. As you breathe in, a special organ called a diaphragm pulls your lungs down, making them bigger.

3. If your body cannot breathe, your cells will quickly begin to die.

3 elements

today i will talk you about three elements: nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen.

NITROGEN: chemical symbol: “N” group: 5A family: transition metals. atomic mass: 14.0. newtrons: 7. number of protons: 7. atomic number: 7. did you know that 78% of the Earth’s atmosphere is made of nitrogen?

HYDROGEN: chemical symbol: “H”. atomic number: 1. atomic mass: 1. number of protons: 1. number of newtrons: 1. group: 1A. peridod: 1. 90% of all the atoms in the universe are made of hydrogen. hydrogen come from hydro that means water.

OXYGEN: chemical symbol: “O”. atomic number: 8. atomic mass: 16. number of protons: 8. number of newtrons: 8. group: 6A. period: 2. family: transition metals. 20% of the Earth’s atmosphere is made of oxygen. 3 physical properties of oxygen are: colorless, tasteless and without smell.

CHEMISTRY

when you say first “Chemistry” i didn’t have any idea of what was this about. i thought it would be very complicate but it was easy. not too easy but not too hard, but i learned that if you don’t pay attention you are not going to understand, because i think that science is a class that has a lot of details and in chemistry if you have lost in one part you are not going to understand the other part, and that happened to me in elements and atoms. I understand the mass, the matter, the physical and chemical changes, but the one that was the hardest for me was the molecules, the atoms and the elements, but now i understood. i really like this unit because it has many interesting things like the Bose-Einstein Condensate or the mixtures, i really love that.

the things that have helped me in chemistry, is your blog. i think that’s the main thing that have helped me. because you post links and videos that help me study, and  the activities in class and the reviews help me too.

now, i think that chemistry could be very easy if you pay attention, and very interesting at the same time.

The Bose–Einstein condensate one of the fifth states of matter. this matter is when things are absolutely in 0. In this state of matter is where all things completely stop moving. This state is 0 in kelvin and -273°C. It is one of the most coldest temperature that has been proven. The first prediction of this state of matter was in 1924. was discovered by Albert Einstein. and now in 1995 it was aproved this prediction. in this same year, was the first gaseous condensate. So this is what i learned 🙂
